For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel–not with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.

    African Kalanga

Ngobe Khirisiti aazondituma kubvubika, koga wakandituma kusumikila ndebo mbuya. Anditolebeleka se ntjenjebvu, ngobe tjileyanyo tja Khirisiti tjingabva tjihayisiwa masimba atjo.

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

    African Kalanga

Ndebo ye tjileyanyo bulengwe kuna ibabo banoloba, koga kutili iswi banotjidziwa i simba le Ndzimu.

  21. English21

For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

    African Kalanga

Ngobe mu butjenjebvu gwe Ndzimu, hango aizoziba Ndzimu nge butjenjebvu gwayo, ndizo Ndzimu wakada kuti utjidze ibabo banogalamoyo ne bulengwe gwe tjatinosumikila.

For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.

    African Kalanga

Ngobe bulengwe gwe Ndzimu gopinda butjenjebvu gwe nhu ne kuhaya masimba kwe Ndzimu kopinda matatabuko e nhu.

  26. English26

Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.

    African Kalanga

Zwikamu, kumbulani tjamakabe muli itjo ha mudang'wa, ate bali banjinji benyu bakabe bebong'wa ne hango bali banhu bakatjenjela, ate banjinji bakabe bana masimba, ate banjinji bakabe bazwaligwa mu miha ipehhugwi.

  27. English27

But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.

    African Kalanga

Koga Ndzimu wakahalula tjinotogwa kuti bulengwe mu hango kubhatisa batjenjebvu honi nditjo, Ndzimu wakahalula zwisakasima kubhatisa honi bana matatabuko.

  28. English28

He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things–and the things that are not–to nullify the things that are,

It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God–that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.

    African Kalanga

Ndzimu wakamuthama bang'ompela na Khirisiti Jesu, iye Ndzimu wawakathama kube butjenjebvu gwedu, ukanthama kube ndulamo yedu ne buyengemali gwedu ne sununguko yedu.

  31. English31

Therefore, as it is written: “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.”

    African Kalanga

Ndizo wali kwakakwagwa kuyi, “Iye unozwiloba fuba ngaazwilobe fuba nekwa He.”
