I ask then: Did God reject his people? By no means! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin.

    African Kalanga

Ndobhuzwa ngono kuti, apa Ndzimu wakalamba banhu bawo kene? Ndobva! Imi ne kwangu ndi N'iziraela, tjizekugwana tja Abhurahama ndili we n’ha wa Bhenjamini.

  2. English2

God did not reject his people, whom he foreknew. Don’t you know what the Scripture says in the passage about Elijah--how he appealed to God against Israel:

    African Kalanga

Ndzimu auzolamba banhu bawo, bawakaziba kuli kale. Apa amutoziba kuti Whalo dzotini nekwa Elija, se kwaanokumbila Ndzimu kuti ubone Iziraela nlandu?

  3. English3

“Lord, they have killed your prophets and torn down your altars; I am the only one left, and they are trying to kill me”?

    African Kalanga

Kati, “He, Baiziraela bakabulaya balebesambeli benyu, bakapkhwanya zwibeso zwenyu zwe zwibhayilo, ndimi ndoga ndasala, ngono banohaka ndibulaya.”

  4. English4

And what was God’s answer to him? “I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal.”

    African Kalanga

Koga Ndzimu wakan'dabila utini kene? Wakati, “Ndakazwibiganyidzila balume bali zwiwulu zwili kutendeka basakatongopfigamila Bhaale.”

  5. English5

So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace.

    African Kalanga

Ndizo kwakajalo nangwenu, kuna malimbelimbe Ndzimu awakahalula ne ngoni dzawo.

  6. English6

And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.

    African Kalanga

Koga ha akahalugwa kwakabigwa mu ngoni dzawo, kobva kuti halula akuzotemelela mu mihingo, ha kwabe kwakajalo, ngoni dzawo dzingabe dzisitji ngoni.

  7. English7

What then? What Israel sought so earnestly it did not obtain, but the elect did. The others were hardened,

    African Kalanga

Ngono kee? Banhu be Iziraela bakakong'wa wana tjabakabe behaka. Bahalugwa bakatjiwana, koga bakasala bose bakakukutala.

  8. English8

as it is written: “God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes so that they could not see and ears so that they could not hear, to this very day.”

    African Kalanga

Sekwa kwakakwagwa kuyi, “Ndzimu wakabapa meya ye wope, kuti meho asibone ne zebe dzisiwhe, kuswikila hhuba lino.”

  9. English9

And David says: “May their table become a snare and a trap, a stumbling block and a retribution for them.

    African Kalanga

Ngono Dafite kati, “Dzene butjilo gwabo gungabe dati ne bhuhhu, ne tjinobakunha ne kulobgwa kwabo.

  10. English10

May their eyes be darkened so they cannot see, and their backs be bent forever.”

    African Kalanga

Meho abo ngaapofupadziwe, kuti ndizo basibone; bagogonyale mu ne kusingapele.”

  11. English11

Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious.

    African Kalanga

Ndizo ndobhuzwa, apa bakakunhiwa, kuti ndizo bawe kene? Ndobva! Koga ngotjinya kwabo, jidzo lakahha kuna Bezwitjaba, kuti ndizo Baiziraela babe ne fupa.

  12. English12

But if their transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their fullness bring!

    African Kalanga

Ngono ha tjinya kwabo kufumisa hango, ne kong'wa kwabo kufumisa Bezwitjaba. Tjidziwa kwe Baiziraela kowopamha fumwa inopinda iyeyi kanjinji seni!

  13. English13

I am talking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I make much of my ministry

    African Kalanga

Ngwenu ndolebeleka namwi Bezwitjaba. Se ndili ntumwa kuna Bezwitjaba, ndokudza n’hingo wangu,

  14. English14

in the hope that I may somehow arouse my own people to envy and save some of them.

    African Kalanga

kuti ndizo Bajuta, ibo be ludzi gwangu babe ne fupa, kuti ndizo bamwe babo batjidziwe.

  15. English15

For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?

    African Kalanga

Ngobe ha lambiwa kwabo kubva gadzanyiwa kwe hango, amutjigwa kwabo kowobeni ha isi tjila kwe bafi koga?

  16. English16

If the part of the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches.

    African Kalanga

Ha ipemu tje tjiwunga tjidusiwa se tjipo tje kutanga, tjakayengemala, tjiwunga tjose tjobe tjakayengemala, ngono ha ndzi we nti wakayengemala ne nhabi dzawo dzakayengemala.

  17. English17

If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root,

    African Kalanga

Koga ha nhabi dzimwe dze ntoba wakadzwagwa dzakathubugwa, imwi lutabi gwe ntoba we hango mukamedzekiwa muunli, mu magalo abo kuti mube ne gobe mu nti we ntoba,

  20. English20

Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid.

Ikoku malebeswa. Bakathubugwa ne kusagalamoyo kwabo, koga imwi musime ne kugalamoyo. Ndizo musizwikudze, koga mube ne hla.

  21. English21

For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.

    African Kalanga

Ha Ndzimu usakatjiba nhabi dze wakadzwagwa, namwibo autowomutjiba.

  22. English22

Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off.

    African Kalanga

  23. English23

And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.

    African Kalanga

Ngono ne bamwebo abasayendilambeli mu kusagalamoyo banowomedzekiwa kakale, ngobe Ndzimu una simba le kubamedzeka kakale.

  24. English24

After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree!

    African Kalanga

Ngono ha imwi makathubugwa mu ntoba we hango ne mbumbiko, mube mu medzekiwa kusingayendidzane ne mbumbiko, mu ntoba wakadzwagwa, ngono kowobe kulelu kungapani kumedzeka kakale nhabi idzedzi dzakathubugwa muna mayi badzo kene?

  25. English25

I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.

    African Kalanga

Kuti musizwipe butjenjebvu gwa musinago, makamu, ndohaka kuti muwhisise masazibgwe iyawa. Kukukutala kwakangina mu bamwe ba Iziraela, kuswikila Bezwitjaba betjidziwa ne buhhalo.

for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.

    African Kalanga

ngobe zwipo zwe Ndzimu ne kudana kwawo azwitohanduka.

  30. English30

    African Kalanga

Sekwa makatongobe musingawhe Ndzimu, ngono ngwenu makawhigwa zogwadza ne sawha kwabo,

  31. English31

so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now receive mercy as a result of God’s mercy to you.

    African Kalanga

ndizo naibo bakahaya kuwha kuti se kwamakawhigwa zogwadza, na ibobo bawhigwe zogwadza.

  32. English32

For God has bound all men over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.
